It looks like the video URL was invalid, of you attempt to go
directly to the URL in your source code it goes to an error page.
Try using this URL for your video and it should work:

I just copied the URL from the browser's location window. And it
was playing. Did you get your URL from somewhere else within
YouTube. Or did you have to tweak the URL?

Thanks,

Akbar

aehsantag:help-archives.hannonhill.com,2010-02-09:Comment/265540382013-04-25T15:24:00Z2013-04-25T15:24:00ZYou Tube XSLT Format

Hi Akbar,

I got this URL from the Share tab when viewing the video, click
on Use old embed code to see the URL. Note: the
URL under the newer embed code does not work.

As an aside, what you could do to avoid this issue is to tweak
the Format so that all your user has to do is enter the video ID
(ie the portion after the v); however, you lose
some flexibility in terms of supplying any additional parameters
along with the video URL.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Also, I wanted to mention that you can use the Embed Media

the generated source works with Chrome, maybe you could take a look
at the generated source code and modify your XSLT to produce
similar HTML.

I am sorry to be opening this ticket again. I am trying to build
a new format where I do not have to obtain Old EMBED code. I
embedded a Video using Media in WYSIWYG. I saw that it created an
IFRAME. So, I created the following Format:

<xsl:copy-of select="content/node()"/>

/xsl:template /xsl:stylesheet

I included this format in page. As you can see, it is not
working:

It looks like the generated URL to your Youtube video is
incorrect, specifically the additional parameters within the URL.
Here is the URL I am seeing within your page's source code:

http://www.youtube.com/embed/DBIRDAm9vZ8&hl=en&fs=1&rel=0&color1=6392eb&color2=90b1f1

The first parameter should begin with
?
and not

&
. Try the following URL and let me know how
things go:

Actually, the Format is supposed to generate an IFRAME code, the
kind that is created when when you EMBED a You Tube video using
WYSIWYG editor. I re-published the Test Video page. Now it
generates the IFRAME code but the src attribute comes out empty.
And that I think is my problem.

I noticed the URL variable was being referenced incorrectly
within the iframe tag.

<iframe frameborder="0" height="{$height}" src="{url}"

Should be:

<iframe frameborder="0" height="{$height}" src="{$url}"
