<p>The date formatter will return the current date if there is an
issue formatting based on the template and parameters.</p>
<p>Notice the <code>start-date</code> metadata field is a date
string and not a timestamp, so try using the
<code>format-date-string</code> template and let me know if that
resolves your issue.</p>
