Date displayed is current date instead of start-date

I need the format to pull the <start-date> from each <news> section, but it is showing the current date. I'm not sure where I went wrong. Would you please take a look? Thanks.

    Hi Karen,

    The date formatter will return the current date if there is an issue formatting based on the template and parameters.

    Notice the start-date metadata field is a date string and not a timestamp, so try using the format-date-string template and let me know if that resolves your issue.
