If you need to generate a code section comment tag, you will
need to use
<xsl:comment>
; otherwise, the
comment tags within XSLT will be removed because they are only for
documenting the XSLT code.

Try the following format and let me know how it works out for
you:

<xsl:comment>#passthrough <?php= intval(getEmpCountsGroup("BEPC"))?> #passthrough</xsl:comment>

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks

Ryan Griffithtag:help-archives.hannonhill.com,2010-02-09:Comment/270484222013-05-29T13:26:50Z2013-05-29T14:19:32ZPHP code not showing

Ryan,

I tried that one before. It doesn’t work either. While it
does let the code through it doesn’t work with the PHP. I get
an error when saving the format. A screen shot of the error is
below. I wonder if this is a bug. It shouldn’t really care
what is inside the passthrough should it?

I went ahead and tweaked your original format to use a
combination of
#passthrough
code sections and the

<xsl:processing-instruction>
element to generate
the PHP tags. Please see the attached Format.

Also, since this is within a
[system-view:external]

pseudo tag, you can remove the code sections all-together and leave
only the processing instruction elements. See the second attachment
for an example.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
