<p>Off hand I'm not really sure what could be causing this
behavior. I'll try to set up a similar scenario locally and see if
I can replicate it. I'll let you know once I've had the chance to
do so.</p>
<p>Thanks</p></div>Timtag:help-archives.hannonhill.com,2010-02-09:Comment/283466912013-08-21T15:25:23Z2013-08-21T15:25:23ZConfiguring Edit in Context from web services<div><p>Justin,</p>
<p>I wrote a quick PHP script this morning to test this and I'm
seeing some behavior that I don't think is normal either. It may be
something with my script, but at this point I'm leaning toward some
weirdness within the application. For example, my script was
editing a Content Type and adding a Page Chooser field from a Data
Definition to a region. When I ran the script it was successful but
I do not see my field listed under the Data Definition fields
listing when I edit the Content Type. I <strong>do</strong> see my
field listed on the <strong>View</strong> pane for my Content Type
under the 'In-Context Editable Fields' section. Do you see similar
behavior?</p></div>Timtag:help-archives.hannonhill.com,2010-02-09:Comment/283466912013-08-21T17:22:55Z2013-08-21T17:22:55ZConfiguring Edit in Context from web services<div><p>Yes, this is what I am seeing for one of our content types. The
other 2 aren't even showing the data definitions in the View pane
under 'In-Context Editable Fields'.</p>
<p>I figured that reading an existing content type that is
configured the way I wanted, then reading the one I wanted to
change and updating the asset to have the configured editable
fields section should work, but it is strange that it only works
for metadata and not the data definition.</p></div>Justin "JET" Turnertag:help-archives.hannonhill.com,2010-02-09:Comment/283466912013-08-21T18:18:14Z2013-08-21T18:18:14ZConfiguring Edit in Context from web services<div><p>Thanks for the confirmation, Justin. After looking into this a
bit more I was able to determine this is indeed a bug. More details
can be found [here|<a href=

Since this is part of a newer feature I'm guessing we'll try to get
this corrected in the near future. Keep an eye on that issue I
linked and also on any release notes for versions that we make
available to see if the fix is included.</p>
<p>Apologies for the inconvenience. Let me know if you have any
further questions at this time.</p></div>Timtag:help-archives.hannonhill.com,2010-02-09:Comment/283466912013-08-21T19:25:11Z2013-08-21T19:25:11ZConfiguring Edit in Context from web services<div><p>Thanks for the update, we are running a pretty big script, so we
are gonna have to check a few things manually anyway, we will just
add edit in context to the list.</p></div>Justin "JET" Turner
