Although I do not think the current Web Services can support
this sort of functionality, this definitely sounds like a great
idea and I would suggest posting it to our Idea Exchange.

A few of the applications we use (this forum for example), have
options to create webhooks in which when a certain action occurs it
will post data to a specified URL. Your concept sounds similar to
this.

Along those lines, I also had an internal suggestion of moving
towards a REST model instead of SOAP, or both if that would be
feasible.

Ryan Griffithtag:help-archives.hannonhill.com,2010-02-09:Comment/322885772014-03-28T14:45:00Z2014-03-28T14:45:00ZEvent Handling Model In Web Services?

Ryan,

Thanks for the information. It is good to simplify things using
REST. I will consider making a suggestion in Idea Exchange.

your ideas.
