Global vs Local Left Navigation Bar
I am running a CMS with over 200 websites. Currently we did an update across the entire domain. Before we did the update all of the configuration sets where local. With the update we worked on making sure all of the updates would be global so if we ever wanted to change the configuration set or something in the configuration set we would just have to do it one file.
The one problem I ran into was my navigation bar. I created a configuration set that resides in one page and all of the other pages would feed out of that file. The problem with it is that it would not read what folder the page was on, on the CMS. But when i switch that configuration set to go local, what I mean that that same configuration set would be in each page, the website would read the folders right.
