<p>To confirm, are you adding this Index Block directly to a page
region? If so, you won't be able to obtain the metadata information
from the block when it is being rendered this way. Instead, you
would need to add the block via a block chooser.</p>
<p>The simplest solution would be to create a structured data block
that is assigned a data definition and a single block chooser.
Then, include this block within your page region. The rendered
content should include the index block's metadata as well as the
indexed content. I've attached a screenshot of what the rendered
content of the structured data block would look like for
reference.</p>
<p>Note: be sure to set the <strong>Render Content Depth</strong>
option for the chooser field to a value like 5 to ensure the
indexed content is included within the chooser content.</p>
<p>The other solution would be to add the chooser to your page and
use a <a href=
"http://help.hannonhill.com/kb/frequently-asked-questions/create-a-calling-page-index-block">
calling page index block</a> in your page's region to obtain the
chosen block's content.</p>
