Apologies for the late response. Were you able to find
information you were looking for and get Cascade to run behind
either mod_proxy or mod_proxy_ajp?

We do not currently have documentation that discusses running
Cascade behind these two modules; however, I was able to find a few
articles that described setting up a Tomcat Application to run
behind Apache with mod_proxy or mod_proxy_ajp, they may be able to
point you in the right direction:

in server.xml, either uncomment or add the following in the
section:

<Connector port="8009" protocol="AJP/1.3" redirectPort="8443" maxProcessors="256" tomcatAuthentication="false" />

and in your apache config:

# Tomcat connector
ProxyRequests off
<Proxy *>
Order deny,allow
Allow from all
</Proxy>
# change the authentication for your environment
# <Location />
# AuthType CAS
# AuthName "Cascade"
# require valid-user
# </Location>
ProxyPass / ajp://localhost:8009/
ProxyPassReverse / http://cms.example.com:8009/
# End Tomcat connector

This is working for me on Cascade 7.0.x.

racoopertag:help-archives.hannonhill.com,2010-02-09:Comment/177402062013-02-08T17:39:22Z2013-02-08T17:39:22ZCascade 6 and mod_proxy instead of mod_jk

Great information, thank you for sharing Robert.
