Hello,
Many of our content contributors are confused by the options available when they try to import files into Cascade.
Most confusing is that "system name" marked as a required field. They forget to leave it blank and end up creating invalid assets.
is it possible to remove fields, "System Name" and "Edit File content", and only have a "parent folder" and "browse" options on the "Create New File" tab? -- screen shot is attached.
Thanks
Svetlana O'Meara

    Hi Svetlana,

I agree that this could be confusing to end users. I found this idea on our Idea Exchange that is related to this behavior. Please be sure to vote it up and/or comment if you wish.

Let me know if you need anything else.

    Thanks

Thanks Tim. I wasn't able to access the forum however. I could login, but I didn't see the thread.

It is a serious glitch in CMS design - the system allows creating invalid files; indicates that the field required and allows to skip it -- is it really for discussion?
    Thanks

    Hi Svetlana,

No worries. I just sent you an invite so that you can view the Idea Exchange.

I certainly agree with you that the interface can be very confusing for users. Please be sure to comment on that item so that our developers can see your feedback.

    Thanks
