Hello, We are on 6.8 and Oracle 10 (prod) and Oracle 10 and 11 (2 dev systems, 2 database back ends). I was hoping I could install Cascade7 on an Oracle 11 database, with a different schema (e.g. In DB CASCADEDEV - current dev schema cascade6, clone and copy that to cascade7), install and point new Cascade 7 install JAR install to Cascade7 schema.

Can I do this?
Any issues?

I see lots of public synonyms in database CASCADEDEV. Will this be a problem?

Thanks,

Michael
P.S. A reply back Thursday 5/24 would be appreciated. I am leaving for a few days after that.

Hello. I thought I looked to set this as "not private", but I missed that. Can you set to public?
And, I'm ready to try it out so a bit anxious. Thanks.

    Hi Michael,

I don't see this being a problem as long as all of the tables for Cascade 7 are in their own schema. So, the process shouldn't really be any different from how you've set up your test and development instances in the past.

For this new test instance, make sure that the schema name is the same as the connecting user (because of this issue). Let me know if you have further questions.

    Thanks

Hi Tim, I just posted an urgent request for a new license key for this. Are you able to forward that to the right person there, before you close today?

Your reply is good and much appreciated on this earlier question.

    Thanks, Michael
