MySQL problems with 6.7.x

Since upgrading to 6.7.1 we've noticed some performance issues that look to be database related.

We're using MySQL with replication so binary logging is turned on. Since the upgrade the amount of db logging has increased something like 10-fold.

Tomcat logs show a possibly related error, "java.sql.SQLException: Lock wait timeout exceeded; try restarting transaction", that appears hundreds of times a day.

Any ideas?

    Hi,

Could you attach your entire cascade.log file to this ticket? Also, what version did you upgrade from, and has this affected performance on the application or the database server? Please let me know.

    Thanks!

I upgraded from 6.4.4 to 6.7.1. The application performance is noticeably slower. The db server doesn't appear to be affected except for the increased DB logging.

    I have attached the log.

    Hi,

I believe you are running into a known bug within Cascade Server regarding the Quartz scheduling system. We are releasing a patch within the next few days that will hopefully correct this issue. Please monitor our downloads page, the News section of this site, as well as your email for information regarding our releases.

    Thanks!
