Now that Red Hat has released RHEL 7 with MariaDB instead of MySQL, when is Hannon Hill going to test and certify MariaDB for Cascade?

    Hi,

We don't have any plans to officially support MariaDB at this time per this related discussion. However, I would recommend filing an idea on our Idea Exchange so that others can vote/comment on the issue. I just sent an invite your way so let me know if you have any trouble logging in.

    Thanks!

That discussion is particularly about Galera clustering and the answer of “We aren’t going to” isn’t really acceptable. Distros are already moving away from MySQL and I speculate that over the next few years MariaDB is going to replace many MySQL installs as systems get upgraded and new systems are brought online.
