non-root user behind Apache with mod_proxy_ajp? We're considering
using Shibboleth to authenticate Cascade and our intention is to
let Apache do the heavy lifting and authenticate users and have a
custom authenticator pick up REMOTE_USER and some extra validation
from the Shibboleth attributes.

Alternatively, if someone has source they're willing to share
for a Shibboleth custom authenticator we'd happily look at that as
well.

Joel Goguentag:help-archives.hannonhill.com,2010-02-09:Comment/139315362012-02-23T17:21:26Z2012-02-23T17:21:26ZCascade behind Apache

Hi Joel,

There is no issue with running as a non-root user, so long as
the user who Cascade Server is running under has read and write
permissions to the directory in which Cascade Server is installed
in.

Thanks!

Joel
