Upgrading from 6.8.2

I am planning an upgrade for later this summer, ideally targeting 7.4. I can only find explicit references back to 6.10.x versions. Can I complete this upgrade via a full install of 7.4, plus all of the required config updates and recompilations? Or, are there other issues arising from our starting point of 6.8.2?

The current system runs on a Windows 2003 Server machine. Based on the 7.4 requirements page, our hardware should still be sufficient, though I will be pushing for OS and memory upgrades coincident with this upgrade.

btw, I'm a complete noob right now, taking over for a system that never had any serious in house technical expertise. I'm soaking up everything I can, wherever I can find it!

    Hi,

Apologies for not listing out the 6.8 release notes on the new site, we had decided to make 6.10 the cut-off when we launched the new design.

That being said, there should be no issues going from 6.8.2 to 7.4 using the full installer. I do recommend reading the release notes (and upgrade guides) for each of the major releases (ie 7.0, 7.2, 7.4); however, so you are aware of any changes. Also, if you have any Web Services scripts, be sure to check out the Web Services changelog.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks!
