We're running 6.7.* on MSDE 2000 (SQL Server Desktop Edition), but plan on moving to 6.8, which no longer supports SQL 2000. Are there any extra required steps for moving to the new database beyond importing from a backup?

    Hi Dave,

Try following the steps in our SQL Server Transition Guide and see if they help you. I realize that this guide is targeting the 2005 to 2008 transition, but since you are already on version 6.7, I think you'll be able to follow the same general rules when upgrading to SQL Server 2k8.

Be sure to try this in a test environment first in case anything goes wrong.
