Hello,
We are on 7.0.5
RH 6.2 with kernel
2.6.32-220.4.1.el6.x86_64 Is there a way to trace this issue or if a large publish was the cause. Log file attached.

    Hi,

There could be a number of causes for the task duration to exceed the publish limit. More common causes can be narrowed down to:

    • The time it takes to render/publish (for Pages),
    • The size of the Asset (for Files), or
    • Network latency between Cascade and the Destination server

From the error message you provided, it looks like we are dealing with a File with the ID of 717d2ea590250bab0056eeb36a62eee1. If you browse to this file, what type of file is it and how large is it? You can browse to the file by using the following URL structure:

    http(s)://CASCADE_URL:PORT/entity/open.act?id=717d2ea590250bab0056eeb36a62eee1&type=file&#highlight

Also, if you try to publish this File individually, do you still receive the error message?

Please let us know if you have any questions.

    Thanks

    Hi,

I was going over some older discussions and noticed this one is still open. Are you still experiencing this slow publish behavior? Did you have a chance to read over my previous post?

Please feel free to let us know if you have any other questions.

    Thanks.

Thank you Ryan for touching base. We have some more testing to do with the suggestions offered. I'll try and let you know if any more issues later this week.

    Thanks,

    Michael

Just wanted to check in to see how things are going. Did you have a chance to perform some testing? Are you still experiencing the slow publish behavior?

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Hi Ryan,
Finally getting to this, and this file as a 97M PPT file. Per Jason E, this should not happen and we'll discourage it, and good to know. This command very helpful. Thanks.
