How to index 3rd party data for search, OR how to store search keywords in separate location than actual page?

Scenario 1:
-http://my-cascade-web-server.com/index is my website. -http://my-cascade-web-server.com/listing is my arbitrary page -http://my-other-web-server.com/list.xml is my xml page

-I want my xml page to be indexed by my website search, and I want the search result to be my arbitrary page.

Scenario 2:
-http://my-cascade-web-server.com/index is my website. -http://my-cascade-web-server.com/listing is my arbitrary page -http://my-cascade-web-server.com/xml is my xml page.

-I want my xml page to be indexed by my website search, and I want the search result to be my arbitrary page.

Is either scenario possible?

    Hi Chris,

I am not completely sure that I understand what you are trying to do.

In scenario 1, I think you will need to make a Feed Block inside cascade to pull in the content of your xml page not in Cascade. You would then create your Results page within Cascade and insert your Feed Block with a Format to output the desired content.

In scenario 2, it depends on what Search you are using. I have setup up something similar using Google custom search where I created a search results page in Cascade and denoted which folders in my site I would like searched but I did not need an XML page. I have also made a custom keyword search that utilized an XML page created in Cascade using an Index Block of all of the pages in the Site and a Format to output all of my pages, their paths, and their keywords. My Search then parsed that XML file and output the results to the Results page (a page within Cascade) using Javascript. But in both of these instance the keywords were stored on the actual page to make it easy for the user to modify them.

I hope this helps and was inline with what you were asking.
