Apologies for the delayed response on this post.

The owner of a Publish Set is determined by which User modified it most recently. By modified, I mean that a User will need to Edit the Publish Set and make a change to it, then Submit.

If you would like for a particular User (who does not have access to the Administration area) to be the owner of a Publish Set, I believe you would need to do the following:

As an Administrator, temporarily change the User's password

Grant the User Administration access

Log in as the User and Edit the Publish Set in question

Make a small change to the Publish Set and click Submit

Log out as the User

Log in as the normal Admin user again and remove access to the Administration area for the User (also, change the PW again and notify the User)

Also, if you need to grant access to the Administration area for Users that normally should not have access, you can always edit the Access rights for any Administration items and take away permissions at a User or Group level.

I'm not aware of any way to change where the publish report is sent nor am I aware of a way to disable the report entirely.

Hope this helps.

Timtag:help-archives.hannonhill.com,2010-02-09:Comment/23385152010-08-05T19:50:42Z2010-08-05T19:50:42ZChange owner of a publish set

Is there an easy way to change the user through the database?

Brian Steeretag:help-archives.hannonhill.com,2010-02-09:Comment/23385152010-08-06T13:24:30Z2010-08-06T13:24:30ZChange owner of a publish set

Typically we don't recommend modifying the database directly, but I think something like this should do the trick:

update cxml_entitymetadata em, cxml_publishset ps
set em.lastModifiedBy = '{username}'
where ps.metadataId = em.id and ps.id = '{publishsetid}';

You'll need to replace {username} with the user that you want to own the Publish Set. Then, you'll need to replace {publishsetid} with the 25-digit ID of the Publish Set you wish to update.

Hope this helps!

Tim
