Multiple publishing destinations

First off, we currently are not using sites within cascade.

We have 2 destinations where people can publish their content.

faculty
and
www-live

Only faculty pages should be able to publish to faculty
All other pages to www-live

This is currently working.

However, when a user has access to both destinations, when they go to publish a page, they see both destinations as options.
What we need is that the faculty destination only shows up when they are on a faculty page, and www-live only shows for the rest.

Is this possible?
thanks

    Hi Jason,

Currently, if a user has access to both Destinations (via the Applicable for Groups field in the Edit interface for the Destination), both Destinations will automatically appear as checked by default when the user goes to publish an asset.

The only way to prevent a specific Destination from appearing for certain users is to make sure that they belong to a group which does not have access to that Destination.

If you do end up moving to Sites, this could get a bit easier. For example, if you had a separate Faculty site, you could have a Destination set up in that Site which would only publish to the Faculty destination. The Faculty Site could also be 'locked down' such that only certain users could access that Site.

Let me know if you have further questions.

    Thanks
