How do I embed flash into the word processor? It seems like Cascade strips out some of my flash tags when I submit my page.

    A few things:

    • Can you attach or paste the code you are attempting to use?
    • What browser/version are you using?
    • What version of Cascade Server are you using?

    How about this code?

    <object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase=",0,40,0" width="468" height="60" id="mymoviename"> <param name="movie" value="example.swf" /> <param name="quality" value="high" /> <embed src="example.swf" quality="high" bgcolor="#ffffff" width="468" height="60" name="mymoviename" align="" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage=""> </embed> </object>

I'm using Safari 5 on Snow Leopard with Cascade 6.7 GA.

Thanks for providing that. I tested this code on the TinyMCE Demo Site and ran into the same behavior. It seems to be stripping some attributes and tags - most notably, the <embed> tag.

I searched TinyMCE's bug tracker and found this issue which appears to be related.

In the meantime, I would recommend using XML blocks for any flash code that doesn't need to be placed directly in the content area of the WYSIWYG editor.
