Remove folders when unpublishing

When unpublishing folders in Cascade 6.10.7, the content is removed but folders are not. How do we tell Cascade to remove folders? It seems like a simple 'rmdir ""' would do it, if it fails there's still content in there and can be ignored, if it succeeds then great. Is there something I'm missing here, or some way we can make Cascade do this automatically?

    Hi Joel,

Currently, Cascade will not delete the folder because there may be other assets within the folder that are managed outside of Cascade, in which case deleting the folder could result in loss of data.

There is an existing suggestion on the Idea Exchange to add an option to remove empty folders on un-publish.

I will need to invite you to the Idea Exchange, would [email blocked] be an appropriate email to use? Once you have access, feel free to vote up or comment on the suggestion if you would like to see this feature added to a future release of Cascade.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks

If it has to be the same email I authenticate with, please use [email blocked] instead, I hooked up Google OpenID so that's the address I've been authenticating with.

    Hi Joel,

Not a problem, it looks like the email address was filtered from my message by our tracking system. You should be receiving an invitation to the same email you used here on the Help Forum.

    Have a great day!
