We had a training class with Hannon Hill and it was mentioned that I can include velocity formats in XSLT or call them from my xslt. I am looking for documentation or examples how to do that and am not finding any. Would someone please explain this for me?

Thanks

    Hi Caleb,

You actually can't include or call other Velocity formats from within Velocity, or call Velocity formats within XSLT. You can however call XSLT formats from within XSLT formats.

    Thanks!

I have done the XSLT within XSLT before. This is something that needs to be clarified in your training than because we were told it was possible to call velocity from XSLT and have been planning a project based on that training. Are you sure this is the case?

    Caleb,

My apologies for your misunderstanding, but yes, this is indeed the case as you cannot call Velocity formats from XSLT.

    Thanks!

    Joel,

Thanks for your help. We will re architect our project. This was not a misunderstanding though. We were very clear and your trainer was very clear as well.

    Caleb,

My apologies, I will discuss this with the trainer as well.

    Thanks!
