You make reference to examples being located in the common file under _common. I cannot locate this and would like to know where it's at. Thank you!

_common is actually a Site which you should be able to locate in the Sites dropdown. However, the availability of this Site is also dependent on the version of Cascade your organization first installed as well as when the default database was downloaded.

Ok Amy, thanks. However, I do not see it - we are using 6.4.6. I'm looking for the example for the breadcrumbs. Here is the snippet from the page talking about breadcrumbing. The example file is listed if you can help, I'd really appreciate it.

An XSL or Velocity Format must also be added to style and filter the results rendered by the index block. An example is included with Cascade Server and can be found in the Global section in the common folder at «/_common/formats/navigation/breadcrumbs-ul».

In older versions of Cascade, prior to the incorporation of Sites, _common was a specific folder included in the default database that would hold common assets like stylesheets, images, JavaScript files, etc. With the integration of Sites came the shift from each Site having a _common folder with repeated assets to a Site that would contain those assets. Try looking in the Site, but not specifically within another _common folder.

Some clients use a _common folder for Site specific assets that aren't used across sites, but not all situations are the same.

If you have assets that are specific to your Site, as a best practice we recommend that you create a _common folder so that they are all in one place.

Charlie, thanks for the response. I'm still not finding it anywhere. The site was originally set up by you (HH) and another outfit. Not sure if they incorporated everything. I know where to find other documentation about out site, specifically but nothing that's general.

I have found a copy of the file and attached it as a text file, which you should be able to import as an XSLT Format.

Did you try using the Search bar to do a Global search for a file named breadcrumb-ul? Even though I have attached the file, I would still use the Search to see what results you get.

Do you have Administrator access? There may in fact be a _common site and for some reason you don't have access to it.

Thanks for the file. I did do a search that resulted nothing. I have asked out IT dept about the file and still waiting to hear back. It's been a while! ;) As for permissions, I do have quite a few admin rights, but it's not the full on rights that some members in IT have. Thanks again!
