We attempted to reboot our
system, but it didn't remove the file. What are our options at this
point?</p>
<p>Thank you!</p></div>crcampbeltag:help-archives.hannonhill.com,2010-02-09:Comment/43974312010-12-22T14:37:32Z2010-12-22T14:37:32ZRemoving file from Que<div><p>Hi,</p>
<p>Approximately how long has the file been stuck? Is it just one
file or is it a folder?</p>
<p>Please have your DBA execute the following SQL queries and
attach the results here as files:<br></p>
<pre>
<code>select * from cxml_publishrequest_dest;
select * from cxml_publishrequest_config;
select * from cxml_publishrequest;</code>
</pre>
<p>Once those results have been attached here, you should be able
to clear the publish queue by executing the following SQL queries
in order:<br></p>
<pre>
<code>delete from cxml_publishrequest_dest;
delete from cxml_publishrequest_config;
update cxml_publishrequest set prevId = null, nextid = null;
delete from cxml_publishrequest;</code>
</pre>
<p><em>NOTE:</em> These queries will remove <em>everything</em>
from the queue. If you have other jobs waiting, you may wish to
take a screen shot of the publish queue before running these
queries so that you can put those jobs back in the queue once it
has been cleared.</p>
<p>Let me know how everything goes.</p>
<p>Thanks</p></div>Timtag:help-archives.hannonhill.com,2010-02-09:Comment/43974312010-12-22T15:44:00Z2010-12-22T15:44:01ZRemoving file from Que<div><p>Hey Tim,</p>
<p>That worked. Thanks so much!</p>
<p>I spoke to Justin Klingman this morning and stop the Cascade
service, reboot the database server, and restart the Cascade
service. Out of curiosity would this have also worked?</p>
<p>Thanks again,</p>

<p>Good deal. Restarting alone will not clear the publish queue
since jobs are stored in the database. Having said that, it really
depends on what caused the job to get stuck in the first place.
Sometimes, jobs end up taking a long time due to other factors
(network activity, other problems, etc). In some cases, a restart
will correct one of these other problems which then allows the
publish to finish.</p>
<p>Thanks!</p></div>Tim
