Hi HH,

We have Faculty Profiles site that lists each of faculty's profile here: http://www20.csueastbay.edu/directory/profiles/index.html

The interface we're using is attached as a screen shot(Capture.png). Most of the fields are text or WYSIWYG fields that are no big deal. But the two file choosers (Curriculum Vitae and Profile Image) are being very complicated for our faculty members. When they click on the file chooser, they would need to find the directory to upload, upload, and choose the file. My first question is, is there a easier way to handle file uploads? Such as, when they click on it, it would directly go to "Browse Desktop" screen and automatically upload to specific folder.

Second question, if we decided to write our own interface and user Cascade Web Services to create the profiles, could we replicate this functionality using Web Services? We would need to be able upload files, populate text fields, enter "College" and "Department" categories and even populate Education and Courses seen in attachment Capture2.png.

Thanks,
Cagdas @ CSUEB

    Cagdas,

Sorry this issue hasn't gotten more attention. There is no current way to make this process shorter or simpler, but I've created an idea in our Idea Exchange that may help: Provide an easier way to upload images in Structured Data.

    Cheers,

    Ross
