in cascade 6.7.x, if you have a site or sites in addition to the "global" site and you want to create a group with access rights to part of the tree to a site that is not the global site, how can you set a starting page for that group if the page to which you want it set is in a site not in the global site ? You need to go to the global site to be able to create groups but if you try to select a starting page or starting folder, you only see the directory tree within the global site ... not the directory tree for a non-global site ... or is there a way to create a group from within a non-"Global" site ?
Thanks for any help you can provide.

sosatag:help-archives.hannonhill.com,2010-02-09:Comment/37052552010-11-11T20:52:20Z2010-11-11T20:52:20Zsetting a group staring page to a folder in a site other than in the global site

Hi,

Unfortunately all group creation is done within the Global area, but can be reused and reassigned throughout the CMS. You can assign groups/roles a the Site level via the Site Management area, as well as set a starting page, but this affects all users within that Site and is not isolated to one particular group. If this is something you would like to see incorporated into the product, please feel free to submit it to our Idea Exchange.

Thanks!

Joel
