We have many links within our cms that contain a hard coded year, e.g. 2014-2015, does functionality exist within cascade server to search and replace throughout the entire cms?
For example, an href exists that was created in the wysiwyg editor that links to:
http://unomaha.smartcatalogiq.com/en/2014-2015/Graduate-Catalog/Gra...
We'd like to search for
"http://unomaha.smartcatalogiq.com/en/2014-2015/" and replace it with
"http://unomaha.smartcatalogiq.com/en/2015-2016/" so the href would end up being:
http://unomaha.smartcatalogiq.com/en/2015-2016/Graduate-Catalog/Gra...
Thanks!

    Hi Eric,

    Would you consider web services?

    Hi Eric,

Search and replace does span across the system and you should be able to search for that specific URL and replace it with the new term.

You can try testing by entering http://unomaha.smartcatalogiq.com/en/2014-2015 in both the Search and Replacement term fields to see if you get results.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks!

Thanks Ryan, that looks like that may just work. I'll test this out in one of our non-prod instances over the next couple of days.

Wing, I would definitely consider using web services as well. Would you be able to give me a starting script to using your library to do this?

You may want to look at Basic Setup to get started. You may also want to check out the Web Service Courses and Recordings of the hangouts.
