I'm sure the answer to this is "no", or at least "not yet", but are they any plugins or modules right now that would allow a content editor to upload a single 1000x1000 resolution image to cascade, and have the system automatically create a 500x500 and 250x250 resolution version of that image with the same name as a base with "-medium" or "-thumb" appended to the filename?

    Hi,

The answer is in fact "Yes". At Upstate we have been doing that for a while now. These are the steps:

    1. Create an asset factory of type file
    2. Use Create Resized Images Plug-in
    3. Specify the number of additional images (e.g. 2)
    4. Specify the widths and/or heights (e.g. 700,400)

We also use the Image Resizer Plug-in to make sure that all original images are resized accordingly. As for names, you may need to develop your own plugins, or use the default names generated by Cascade.

I use web services to create asset factories in sites and grant access to users.

    Wing
