migrating from test domain to live

Dear All

Whats the best way to migrate development instance of cascades to live. e.g i had done new site revamp on test.mydomain.com and now i want to move it to main domain i.e www.mydomain.com ,

I had done lot of content + template changes in test.mydomain.com so dont want to copy everything manually as it will take too long and more error prone.

Please give me few suggestions regarding this issue that will be fast to do.

   I want to make sure I understand your problem correctly. Do you mean that you can't use import/export, because on the live instance you already have assets in use and cannot delete them?

   If that is the case, then my suggestion is to use web services to synch the two instances. This will be very difficult. I don't mean that it is difficult to do. Rather, it is difficult to understand, and if you don't understand the whole process, a lot of things can go wrong. But if you can handle web services and are interested, I will help.

   Yes the assets are in use on live site and cannot delete them.

   Can you please refer me some documentation for web services. Is there any other process to do that ?

   For all I know, there is no easy way to synch two instances. Web services are probably the easy way out. And this is precisely the reason why I built my library in the first place. If you can handle web services, check my tutorial site Cascade Web Services Tutorial.

   I just want to emphasize again that this is the most advanced topic in web services. You have to be very savvy in this area before you can tackle this problem.
