Hi,

It has been a long time since I used Cascade server. I had to remove some pages from a site. I forgot how to remove the links to those pages from the navigation. Help.

    Hi Vince,

The steps to remove your links really depend on how things are set up within your specific instance. I would recommend speaking with one of your Cascade administrators/developers at your institution.

Off-hand, generally removing from a navigation entails:

    • Remove (and optionally un-publish) the folder, OR if you still need the folder edit it, click System and uncheck the Include when Indexing option
    • Republish all of the pages that contain the navigation so they have the updates

Note: if you only uncheck Include when Indexing, the folder will still be publishable and remain on the web server. If you need to keep the folder in Cascade, but remove it from the navigation you would need to:

    • View the folder
    • Click Publish, check the Un-publish option and submit
    • Once the un-publish has completed, edit the folder, click System, and uncheck the Include when Publishing option

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks!

Thanks so much Ryan. Unchecking the Include when Indexing work like a charm. It is terrifying when you forget those little things 8). Thanks again.

Not a problem at all, Vince, I am glad to hear that did the trick.
