How do I use the Universal Migration Tool for an older version of Cascade
I have a 7.12.5 instance of Cascade, and on the migration tool page (http://migrate.cascadeserver.com/) the label seems to indicate that this is for a later version of Cascade. I'm trying to follow these instructions (http://www.hannonhill.com/news/blog/2013/cascade-server-7.4-univers...). Is there a different page for an older version of the Universal Migration Tool, or is it alright for me to use that tool for my 7.12.5 instance? Also, what permission level does the account, whose username and password are being provided, need to have minimally in order to run the migration tool?

Hi John,
migrate.cascadeserver.com is the migration tool page that we manage, so it will always be running the most recent version of that tool. If you need to run an older version of the tool, you can download it from this page and execute it on your local machine (or some other server). On that releases page, you'll see that there isn't a version specific to 7.12.5. This is because no structural changes were made to the database between 7.12.3 and 7.12.5, so the 7.12.3 version of the tool should do the trick.
You'll want to use an account that has edit access to the Site in which you plan on migrating your content.
Let us know if you have any additional questions.
Thanks!

I have one quick sanity check question: since this needs to run on a linux machine, will it work on our windows version of Cascade properly?

Yes, this shouldn't be a problem since the tool is using Web Services to interact with the Cascade instance (and is therefore independent of the O/S).
Let us know how things go!
