We are using the HannonHill Calendar from the HH github and my director asked me see about adding a Google Calendar to it.

Is this possible? How would I do this?

    Hi Joel,

It is possible to pull in Google Calendars, but the Calendar Site will need some work in order to get this done. See my comment on this discussion for additional information and let me know if you have any specific questions.

    Thanks!

I don't know how to implement that.

I have some customized code in our Calendar already and we've modified a few formats already to better fit our needs. How can I merge his code with mine without undoing my own changes?

    Hi Joel,

It's been a little while since I've looked at the pull request, but there are a few moving pieces going on in terms of merging the two. Generally speaking, you will want to focus on the following:

    • Upgrades/changes to calendar related JS and CSS files
    • Changes to the Data Definition that generates the external calendar sources
    • Changes to the Formats that deal with generating code necessary for external sources. You may need to tweak this if you changed the HTML markup of listings and such

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks!

Sounds good, Joel, keep me posted on how things go.

Allowing for easier customization of the calendar is definitely something that's been tossed around. Unfortunately, with so little resources it's difficult to come up with the time to work on it.

That being said, it is a public project, so if you have any ideas, suggestions, improvements, feel free to suggest them or create a pull request.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks!

Downloaded the site from the github commit. I'm working with the departments that need the calendars before testing. Once we've tested, we'll start to merge into our actual calendar site.
