HTML Editor adding CDATA to Script

I am trying to add a script to an HTML block through a WYSIWYG and it keeps adding a CDATA tag that breaks the code. I've tried adding a #protect wrap, but that did not work.

    Hi,

    When you have a moment, please attach or paste the HTML you are attempting to enter into the WYSIWYG's HTML editor and provide the version of Cascade you are currently running so we can help take a closer look.
