I'm trying to delete a site where another site has assets assigned
to the default metadata set in the site I'm deleting. I'm trying to
reassign the default meta data set via a bulk change operation.
Looking at all the relationships to the default metadata set I
check all the boxes for the assets I want to reassign, then I go to
Tool -> Bulk Change and I presented with the start of the bulk
change operation where it asks for the base folder and it I want to
include the descendants of folder. This is where I get
confused.
After trying the operation a number of times I still see that same
number of relationships, including incorrect ones, for the default
metadata set in the site I'm trying to delete.
Hope this makes sense.
I appreciate any assistance.
Sincerely,

Our apologies for the confusion here. The Bulk Change tool and
Relationships tabs for a given asset are two separate concepts
within Cascade. In order to perform the bulk change, you would need
to use the Bulk Change tool, optionally include sub-folders, and
select the assets you wish to change.

Note: the Bulk Change tool only deals with Home Area assets, so
if the Metadata Set is referenced by Content Types, you will need
to also update those separately.

If you are familiar with Web Services,
updating the Metadata Set could be simpler because you would be
able to loop over the Metadata Set's relationships and update each
programmatically (differs depending on the type of asset).

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks!

Ryan Griffith
