We are on Cascade 7.12.5.

Our main site, AGF.com, uses OMNIFIND for its search engine.

I'm currently building another site and it's much smaller in
terms of content.
The clients asked for a SEARCH function for this new site and I
reckon OMNIFIND is an overkill.
I searched through your discussion area and found this:
http://help.hannonhill.com/discussions/how-do-i/7899-google-custom-...

It's from 2013 so I wonder if you have any up-to-date
information on the topic.

All we need is a simple search, with a resizable input box for
desktop, tablet and mobile dimensions:

Looking forward to your recommendation.

Thanks and warm regards,

Although things may have changed with Google's
Search APIs between 2013 and now, the overall concept should
still be the same.

To summarize, you would create/register the custom search with
Google and they should provide some kind of embed or API that you
would then add to your pages within Cascade.

If you would some additional guidance, I can put you in touch
with someone from our Services team.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks!

Ryan Griffithtag:help-archives.hannonhill.com,2010-02-09:Comment/370413222015-06-09T17:23:01Z2015-06-09T17:23:01ZQuestion on Google Custom Search Engine for Published Site

Thanks Ryan!

I’ll go try this out this week and will let you know if I
get stuck.

rommel.lagmantag:help-archives.hannonhill.com,2010-02-09:Comment/370413222015-06-09T17:45:37Z2015-06-09T17:45:37ZQuestion on Google Custom Search Engine for Published Site

Not a problem at all, Rommel.

Since this isn't a Cascade related issue, I went ahead and moved
this discussion into the public How to I section of the
forum in-case another client may want to chime in here.

Keep me posted on how things go and have a great day!

Ryan Griffith
