Install a new Windows 2008 R2 Server with SQL Server 2008. Move
the current SQL Server 2005 (OS: Windows 2003) Cascade database to
this new server.

I do not foresee any issues here as long as the database is
properly migrated/imported into your new SQL Server instance and
the application server has access to the new database.

Feel free to glance over our
Setting up a SQL Server database article just so you have a
reference of how a fresh database would be set up.

Move the website that we use Cascade for onto an IIS8 server
running Windows 2012 R2.

To confirm, are you referring to your destination web server? If
so, this would be independent of Cascade, so as long as permissions
are set up properly so that Cascade can publish to the web server
you should be good to go.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks!

Ryan Griffithtag:help-archives.hannonhill.com,2010-02-09:Comment/370538852015-06-08T18:08:30Z2015-06-08T19:29:08ZSQL Server

Thanks, I appreciate you confirming everything with me.
