Advanced Code Editor Settings

Hi there - I'm wondering if it is possible to save any of the settings in the ACE - specifically, I'd like to set my default theme, and I'd like it to automatically recognize .asp files as VBScript instead of text. I can get to the various settings menus, either with the gear icon to set the highlighting mode or with Ctrl-, for the other settings, but these settings do not "keep" between submits.
Thanks,
-Dave

    Hi Dave,

Currently, it is not possible to save the chosen settings for the code editor. That does sound like a good idea; however. I highly recommend posting a suggestion on our Idea Exchange for others to vote up and/or comment on.

In the meantime, we should be able to adjust the syntax highlighter to recognize the .asp(x) file extension. I am not seeing a specific highlighter for ASP, do you feel VBScript an appropriate highlighter to use?

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks!

    Hi Dave,

Just wanted to follow up to see if you had a chance to view my recent comment regarding which highlighter feels most appropriate for .asp(x) files.

Please let us know if you have any questions.

    Thanks.

Hi - sorry for the huge delay! To answer, yes, VBScript is absolutely 100% asp. (Not aspx, that's something totally different...) If we could have it recognize asp as VBScript, that would be a great start.
    Thanks,
    -Dave

Not a problem at all, Dave, thank you for following up.

I went ahead and logged the improvement in our issue tracker for you and bumped it up for consideration since this should be a pretty trivial adjustment. Feel free to use this link to track the progress of this issue or keep an eye out for it on our Release Notes site.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks!
