Page assets within the CMS do not have ".html" appended to them until after publishing, so this is why the CMS is preventing this, as it interprets the folder and the page asset as the same file name.

On the root folder we have "sitemap" folder. I tried creating a "sitemap" xml asset with the same name but it produces sitemap1 instead due to naming conflicts.

csaladorestag:help-archives.hannonhill.com,2010-02-09:Comment/31528972010-09-30T14:08:40Z2010-09-30T14:08:40ZHow do I create an asset with the same name?

Christian,

What I meant in my previous post is that assets that exist within the CMS (with the exception of file assets) have no extensions appended to them. This is done when they are published, therefore the CMS does not allow the assets to have the same name within the same folder. If this is something you would like to see incorporated into the product, please feel free to submit the idea to our Idea Exchange for further consideration.

Thanks!

Joel
