How do I set an element as required only if its parent is activated

I have a carousel the end user can activate with a simple radio button. If the user selects "no" they will get an error about how each slide's image field is required, even if they dont want that feature.

How can I get around this?

    Hi Joseph,

What version of Cascade Server are you currently running? If you are running 7.10+, you can utilize smart fields to toggle the visibility of the required image field(s).

When the smart field has those dependent fields hidden, they will no longer be validated as required fields and will be skipped.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Thanks!
