When working with External Links
(ie Symlinks), there is no means of telling Cascade Server how to
open the link, so it will always be the same window.

Depending on how you are using the link, you can incorporate
ways to add the additional
target
attribute.

If you are selecting the External Link when adding a link within
a WYSIWYG field, you would simply use the Target
field when inserting the link to designate its target.

If you are using a Format to generate a list of links, such as a
navigation, your Format would determine how External Links should
be handled when you generate the HTML markup.

Additionally, you could add a Dynamic
Metadata Field to External Links that would allow users to be
able to determine whether the link should open in a new window or
not. Your Format would use this field when generating the
markup.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks!

Ryan Griffithtag:help-archives.hannonhill.com,2010-02-09:Comment/357594142015-01-12T21:01:02Z2015-01-12T21:01:03ZExternal Link In New Tab

Hi Ryan,
