Regular Expressions in Data Definitions
Does the use of Regular expression in validating input format for data definition fields require that the field be set to required? I have a regular expression set for a manually entry time field. The regex works when the field is set to required by is skipped when the field is not required. As a result when the field is required I can put in any random text and it will not throw an error.

This appears to be a known issue which you can track here:
Regular Expression on Data Definition not applied unless the field is required.
Can you tell me which version you are using?

Thanks Tim! I didn't know about that site. I will add it to my links and be sure to check there for items in the future.
We are on 6.7.1 right now.

Thanks! I went ahead and updated that issue to show that it is still a problem in the 6.7.x series (looks like it has been a problem since at least 6.0).
Apologies for the inconvenience!
