In-Context Editing Drafts

I've configured a few of our content types (in Cascade 7.8) to allow in-context editing and was wondering if there's a way to skip the submit/discard draft step?

    Hi Erik,

Currently, there would be no way to bypass this functionality. The submission would need to be processed as a draft first in order to allow users to preview the changes before merging them.

The only way to work around this would be to attach a block to the region and use inline editing to change the block. This essentially opens the block's edit screen within the dialog and merges the changes instantly, since there would be no simple way to preview those changes as a draft since it's an entirely different asset.

Please let me know if you have any questions.

    Hey Ryan,
I knew I'd used in-context editing before without the submit draft button. Thanks for clarifying.
