We'd like to add some links to resources and contact information
to the Cascade Dashboard for editor support requests. Is there a
way to add a custom widget to the dashboard (and force it to be
default on everyone's dashboard)?

Thanks!

tomlinsontag:help-archives.hannonhill.com,2010-02-09:Comment/333983232014-06-16T14:36:22Z2014-06-16T14:36:22ZIs there a way to add a custom Dashboard widget?

Hi,

Currently, it is not possible to add custom widgets (or add
custom content) to the Dashboard. I believe we did discuss
something along those lines during the acceptance testing for the
customizable dashboard, but it did not make it into the initial
implementation.

I highly recommend posting this as a suggestion on our Idea Exchange for others to vote
up and/or comment on.

That being said, as a workaround, you could set up a
starting page that is linked to from the New Content widget.
This starting page could contain your links and content information
and I believe can be re-used across Sites.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
