Remove user metadata displaying on my page

We needed to copy a page, but we didn't want to maintain two separate pages, we just wanted to maintain one. So, we created a data definition that has one asset defined which allows us to select a page in the CMS, in essence allowing a page to have the same content as another page by pointing to it I guess.

So, when we create a new page in the CMS, we are able to select another page in the CMS as it's content, so we would only have to maintain the one primary page, instead of two. Everything looked ok when we viewed the new page, except right below the 'DEFAULT region content the User Metadata XML for the new page is displayed.

How can we remove this User Metadata XML from displaying?

    Hi Alicia,

It sounds like the XSLT Stylesheet/Format that you have transforming that content may be written incorrectly. When this happens, sometimes extraneous output will appear on the page.

Can you attach the XML output from the page in question along with the Format that you are using to transform it?

If you don't yet have a Format attached to the DEFAULT region at all, this is likely why that extra information is appearing. You'll need to write an XSLT Format or Velocity script to 'grab' the appropriate content from the XML output and display it on the page.

If you still have this problem please see my comment above and be sure to attach the requested files.
