When copying a Site, the copy process should update internal
links to point to the new site. I have a few questions to see if we
can narrow things down a bit:

What version of Cascade Server are you currently running?

By file repository, are you referring to a folder of
files within the Site, or a Destination server?

Does this occur with all internal links (ie pages to pages,
block references, etc) or only links to these specific files?

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks!

Ryan Griffithtag:help-archives.hannonhill.com,2010-02-09:Comment/316185042014-02-17T14:05:24Z2014-02-17T14:05:24ZDuplicate a site with different links.

Version is 7.6 - 8fd63
I'm referring to the folder of files within the site.
It appears that all the pages are pointing back to the other
site.

Actually, I think I may see the issue. The thing I'm trying to
copy is not, apparently, a site (as in, it doesn't appear under the
Site Management tool). Instead, it's a folder under Global. Is
there a way to copy this folder without it causing problems?

webadmintag:help-archives.hannonhill.com,2010-02-09:Comment/316185042014-02-17T14:58:43Z2014-02-17T14:58:43ZDuplicate a site with different links.

Thank you for the additional information.

This is definitely interesting. As of Cascade Server 6.2, a
copied folder that contains pages linking to other pages within the
same folder should contain updated links pointing to the newly
copied folder, and not the original folder. More information on
this concept can be found on this page
in our KB.

Can you explain a bit more about what you are trying to do? Are
you copying a folder of files, or pages? How are these assets
linked to one another? For example, is it a chooser, link within a
WYSIWYG, a link within a Format, etc.?

Please let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks!

Ryan Griffithtag:help-archives.hannonhill.com,2010-02-09:Comment/316185042014-02-17T15:08:09Z2014-02-17T15:08:09ZDuplicate a site with different links.

I think I may have figured it out. The links are being created
by a transformation off of a block. When the folder was copied, it
created new blocks and transformations, but it's still using the
old blocks. I'll try to use the bulk update tool to fix that
issue.

webadmintag:help-archives.hannonhill.com,2010-02-09:Comment/316185042014-02-17T18:04:09Z2014-02-17T18:04:09ZDuplicate a site with different links.

Ah, so it sounds like the issue isn't necessarily with the copy
process or links, but with Index Blocks referencing the old folder
perhaps?

Please keep me posted on your findings and let me know if you
have any questions.

Thanks!

Ryan Griffithtag:help-archives.hannonhill.com,2010-02-09:Comment/316185042014-02-26T21:29:13Z2014-02-26T21:29:13ZDuplicate a site with different links.

Hi,

I was going over some older discussions and wanted to follow up
