We are getting an error when we view our index page inside of Cascade:

Apr 19, 2012 9:02 AM
An error occurred: Error on line 130: The entity "eacute" was referenced, but not declared.
You may choose to retry the operation. If the problem persists, please contact a system administrator.
The error has been logged to the system console.

This has caused our Homepage not to publish - I can't seem to find what the issue is, any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

    We know what format is causing the problem, just don't see a problem in it...this is what it is

    <div class="events">
    #set ($currentDate = $_XPathTool.selectSingleNode($contentRoot, "/system-index-block/@current-time").value)
    #set ( $pages = $_XPathTool.selectNodes($contentRoot, "/system-index-block/system-page[dynamic-metadata[name='event' and value='Yes']][system-data-structure[endDate > '${currentDate}']]") )
    #foreach ( $page in $pages )
        #set ( $data = $page.getChild("system-data-structure") )
        #set ($title = $data.getChild("home-event-title") )
        #set ($month= $data.getChild("month") )
        #set ($day= $data.getChild("day") )
        #set ($href = $page.getChild("link").value )
    #set ($start = $page.getChild("start-date").value )
    #set ($obj = $_DateTool.getDate($start) )
    #set ($posted = $_DateTool.format("MEDIUM", $obj) )
    #set ($newDate = $_DateTool.getDate($data.getChild('newDate').value))
    #set ($endDate = $_DateTool.getDate($data.getChild('endDate').value))
    #set ($startFormatted = $_DateTool.format('MM/dd/yyyy', $newDate))
    #set ($endFormatted = $_DateTool.format('MM/dd/yyyy', $endDate))
    <div class="post-bar">
    <table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" border="0" width="313">
            <td valign="top">
              <table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0">
                  <td class="cal_month" height="11" width="38">
                  $_DateTool.format('MMM', $newDate)</td>
                  <td class="cal_day" height="25" width="38">
                  $_DateTool.format('d', $newDate)#if($data.getChild('endDate').value != "")#if ($startFormatted != $endFormatted)-$_DateTool.format('d', $endDate)
            <td width="10"></td>
            <td valign="top" class="event-link" width="254">
              <p><a href="${href}">$_EscapeTool.html($title.value)</a></p>
    #if ( $foreach.count == 5 ) #break #end

    Hey Graham --

    Is this in a Format? You'll want to use the XML entity reference and not the ASCII value for special characters.

    Try &#201; instead of &eacute;

    I am not sure if it's in the format - we are thinking our PR person added a story that had it in it, and maybe that threw something off - does that sound possible?

    got it fixed - she had added it in a few different events that were being pulled into the homepage. she will not do that anymore :)
