Using the same index multiple times on a page

This question comes out of curiosity rather than any issue we actually have. It is my understand/observation that indexes are generated on demand when a page that uses them is viewed, published, etc. If I have a page that uses the same index in multiple places, lets say 3, does Cascade have to generate that index 3 times for the page to render or does it only have to do it once?

Thanks

    Hey Matt,

The index block is only generated once during each page render.
