Different <a href=
"http://www.hannonhill.com/kb/Configuration/index.html">Configurations</a>
allow you to manage multiple versions, or outputs, that your
Page(s) have. They allow you to more easily manage/create an HTML,
Mobile, PDF, XML (RSS Feed), etc. from one place.</p></div>Charlie Holdertag:help-archives.hannonhill.com,2010-02-09:Comment/94784582011-08-23T14:14:16Z2012-10-15T15:14:48Zpurpose of multiple configurations<div><p>What happens if i have 2different configurations that output
html?</p></div>ssuhtag:help-archives.hannonhill.com,2010-02-09:Comment/94784582011-08-23T14:26:36Z2011-08-23T14:26:36Zpurpose of multiple configurations<div><p>If both Configurations were publishing to the same Destination
(you can publish specific Configurations to specific Destinations
starting with Cascade 6.8), you could potentially have an issue. If
both of the Configurations were going to the same place AND had the
same output file extension, which ever Configuration published last
would be the final version of that static page on your server.</p>
<p>If you were publishing both Configurations to the same
Destination, but they had different output file extensions, you
shouldn't have an issue.</p>
<p>Normally we don't see people having multiple HTML versions going
to the same place. In the case that you're working with your full
site and a mobile version (both HTML), the mobile version is
usually published to a separate domain or subdomain so the files
(potentially with the same system name and output file extension)
would not collide.</p></div>Charlie Holder
