What does this error mean:

Error
An error occurred: Root element not set

    This typically occurs when the rendered content of your Page (or Block) doesn't have a root element in the XML structure. For example, some invalid code might be:

    <p>here is some text</p>
    <h2>here is some more text</h2>
    

    To make this valid, you would need an element surrounding the code above:

    <div>
        <p>here is some text</p>
        <h2>here is some more text</h2>
    </div>
    

    Many times this error is caused by an XML Configuration that uses a Template with no root element. Check out the NOTE on this article for information on how this can occur with a Template.

    In other cases, the error can occur when a Format returns unexpected results that are not well-formed.

    Thank you a vendor who is not very familiar with Cascade received the message. Since I have never received this message, I was not sure.
